The Mission

---

1. To serve and support the VPIT, scheduling, searching and preparing information in order to make Assumption University well-known as a Center of Excellence for IT Education.
2. To serve as the seats of IT-related learned societies namely Thailand Chapter of Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), Thailand Joint Chapter of the Computer Society and the Engineering Management Society of the IEEE, Thailand Chapter of Internet Society (ISOC), Association of Thai Internet Industry, Internet Association, Asia Pacific eLearning Association, Office of the President of the Computer Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King and SC Foundation.
3. To prepare papers on innovative topics concerning IT and Internet for both national and interrnational Conferences.
4. To prepare presentations for seminars and conferences.
5. To prepare an article to be published in “Telecom Journal” once a week.
6. To prepare an article to be published in “Boss Magazine” once a month.
7. To prepare an article to be published in “eWeek Journal” once a month.
8. To publish about two books per year.
9. To produce radio programs such as “Talking in IT Language with Srisakdi Charmonman” at Radio Thailand FM 92.5 every Tuesday 11.15 – 12.00 am and “Internet IT with Srisakdi Charmonman” at Radio Thailand AM 891 every Sunday 10.15 – 11.00 am.
10. To produce television program “Internet IT with Srisakdi Charmonman” at UBC Television Channel 89 every Sunday 12.00 – 1.00 pm.
11. To organize International Conferences every year such as “The 3rd International Conference on eLearning for Knowledge-Based Society or eLearningAP 2006”.
12. To publish the International Journal on The Computer Internet and Management (IJCIM) three times a year for distribution to all academic libraries in Thailand and selected libraries in other countries.
13. To develop webs that support and make Assumption University well-known. There are now 38 webs such as www.eLearning.au.edu, www.cis.au.edu, www.cem.au.edu, www.iec.au.edu, www.elearningAP06.com, www.scitbuilding.au.edu, and www.charm.au.edu.
